Although my personal story began in California where I was born, the majority of my story was written in West Texas where I was raised.
My parents came from Nicaragua to America as refugees where they were persecuted for their faith. Being first-generation American is not easy; most of the time, you feel excluded due to culture and the lack of family support. It's also not easy because there's an unspoken pressure of being in a country where opportunities are endless and the only ceiling you have is the one you put on yourself. My personal experience and history with money began at a young age. Everyone has their own money history story, and they each look vastly different. My view of money at a young age was that money was essential. Without it, we could not buy groceries or stay where we lived long. Be it that my parents were missionaries and income was modest at best, and when a few oil busts happened and other circumstances, we lost our home and found ourselves homeless a couple of times. Fiscal prudence is not a responsibility I wanted or asked for, it was one I was thrust into. I helped my parents with being their emergency fund when we would run out of money, and at 5 years old, I was coined with the nickname "El Banco", which means the bank in Spanish. Winning with money wasn't about nice toys and nice things, although I like nice things. Winning with money is about making sure your family is taken care of, first. My professional background has prepared me with perhaps the most important professional skill, service. I wish to provide you with a first-class experience and to help you achieve your family's financial goals. I'm passionate about enhancing my clients' financial wellbeing and making their journey with money a smoother one. My family and faith is the biggest reason for doing well. Married to my beautiful wife, Holly, we have two princesses, Ellsie and London. We enjoy going to Texas Tech/UTPB football games and spending time with friends and family.
