My father passed away unexpectedly in 2005.
At the time, I was a manager with a Fortune 100 company. While assisting with the estate, I found that my efforts to contact his financial team were futile. They were nowhere to be found. The difficulty of that experience helped me realize the gift of having a financial plan in place for those you care about. And so began a journey that eventually led me to my calling in financial services. As founder of Regent Star Insurance Solutions, I guide and empower business owners and individuals to take control of their financial futures. I listen carefully to understand their goals and perspectives and help them design strategies that will carry them today and into the future. My singular focus is to solve problems before they even arise. Our industry can move and change quickly, so I’m dedicated to ongoing learning to provide the most creative and impactful solutions. I hold three industry designations focused on insurance and retirement planning: Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Certification for Long-Term Care (CLTC®), and Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®). I’m originally from Maine and spent a lot of time in New Hampshire’s White Mountains. After 30 years in the Seattle area, my wife Ellen and I currently live in northeast Wisconsin. I served for many years in church worship music, as well as teaching and coaching young musicians. I genuinely enjoy connecting with people of all backgrounds. I also love classic boats. Fun fact: My wife and I met while working as entertainers on a cruise ship. Our home port was Montego Bay, Jamaica.
