I grew up in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where my parents modeled a deep sense of calling in their work as a teacher and a social worker.
For more than 20 years, I pursued my own sense of calling, serving congregations across the Carolinas. In 2020, that same sense of calling led me to use my gifts and skills to serve my neighbors on their financial journeys. Today, I am a Certified Financial Planner® and Financial Advisor at Thrivent, where I help individuals, families, and business owners align their finances with their goals and values. I believe that every individual and family can benefit from an intentional, written financial plan rooted in their values and commitments. I am committed to helping my clients discover and pursue the next steps in their financial journeys with clarity and confidence. I earned my undergraduate degree from Clemson University and divinity degrees from Wake Forest University and Duke University. Recently, I've had the opportunity to return to Duke Divinity School and teach Vision and Strategy courses to doctoral students. Outside of my professional work, I serve local churches as a coach and consultant at Pinnacle Leadership Associates, partner with local Habitat for Humanity affiliates, and support the track and cross-country programs at Daniel High School and Clemson University. I am married to Sarah, a pediatric nurse practitioner, and proud dad to Garrett, Keller, and Emma Kate.
