Hi! My name is Kenneth Tucker, and I’m a financial advisor and owner of Tusk Financial Planning.

You might be wondering, “Who is this guy, and can I trust him with my money?” I believe the answer to that question is a resounding “YES!”, so let me tell you more about my background so you can come to that conclusion on your own. I grew up poor. Like, living in trailer parks in the South poor. Coming from meager means, I have a deep appreciation for what it takes to build wealth. The father figures in my life were all Marines, so I was raised with a strong sense of discipline, structure, integrity, and loyalty. I also had a mother who placed a high value on education, and I was the first person in my family to go to college. I received my B.S. in Marketing from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), then spent a decade in Atlanta in residential property management. After I got married, my close friend referred me to his military-focused financial planning firm. I became a client, and was so enamored with the empathy, knowledge, and people skills needed to help folks with their financial future that I immediately switched careers. I aspired to the standard of excellence in financial planning, earning my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designations, which come with a strict code of ethical standards and a rigorous continuing education requirement. And as an advisor who only practices comprehensive financial planning, I have ALWAYS put my clients’ needs and priorities first and foremost. It was this desire to provide the absolute best advice and service for my clients that led me to leave my previous company after a decade and start Tusk Financial Planning. With support from the nation’s largest broker/dealer* for independent financial advisors (LPL Financial), I can truly serve my clients the best way possible: independently, with a plethora of solutions, and no sales quotas or pressure tactics. When I’m not helping clients, I enjoy doing dad things with my son, Ryan, such as playing video games, watching football and Seinfeld, and going to the beach. I also enjoy traveling, kayaking, and many new adventures. I also volunteer as a head coach for i9 youth flag football, as well as other volunteer opportunities. On the rare occasion where I have extra spare time, I’m attempting to restore a 1967 Ford Mustang in my garage!
