Early in her career, she completed a two-year internship with the American Red Cross accounting department and sat for the Certified Public Accountant exam. Leveraging her accounting foundation, Laura accepted a managerial role with a major pharmaceutical company on the East Coast, where she advanced to District Analyst — helping store managers interpret financial statements, optimize staffing, and improve inventory management. In May 2000, Laura transitioned into financial services with the New York Life agency, where she developed the skills to help individuals and families build, preserve, and protect their income and assets — with a strong focus on tackling the financial impacts of taxation, inflation, death, disability, and long-term goals. In 2003, she founded Laura Day and Associates, a firm now serving over 3,000 clients with personalized financial planning and wealth management. Laura’s commitment to excellence in financial planning has been recognized nationally. In 2025, she was ranked #3 on the Forbes Top Best-in-State Financial Security Professionals list — an accolade reflecting outstanding industry performance and client impact. As a Financial Planner and Advisor, Laura is passionate about helping people feel empowered and confident about their financial futures. Outside of work, Laura is a proud grandmother and mom to two incredible grown children.
