Working with you, aligning your money with your values to realize your goals.
As a Financial Advisor with Thrivent, I partner with you to help align your financial decisions with your values and goals. My mission is simple: to provide personalized financial guidance that helps you and your family become more confident in your future. With advanced credentials including BFA™, ChFC®, MBA, and RICP®, I offer a comprehensive approach to financial planning; covering retirement strategies, investment management, and risk protection. I believe financial advice should be clear, actionable, and tailored to your unique situation. I’m proud to call Helena home and am passionate about building relationships rooted in trust and integrity. Outside of work, I share a love for travel and cherish quality time with family. You will often find us hiking around Mount Helena with our dogs, boating or camping at Canyon Ferry Lake, and kayaking on the Madison or Missouri Rivers. When feasible, I love helping my parents on their farm and ranch near Circle, Montana and while there seeing my brothers and their families. My wife, Shannon, is a Human Resources Business Partner for the State of Montana Department of Administration; my oldest son, Eli, is the owner/operator of Voss Window Cleaning in Bozeman; and my youngest son, Bridger, is a student at Montana State University in Bozeman. Faith & Family, Honesty/Integrity, Education, and Humor are my core values and guide what I do. Thrivent, a Christian membership organization recognized as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies® by Ethisphere for 15 consecutive years, is a natural fit with these values. I’d love to learn more about what drives your goals and hope to earn your trust while making the process fun. About Lynn Voss I grew up in rural Montana on a cattle ranch and farm homesteaded by my great-grandfather in 1909. The middle of three boys, my youth was active in 4-H and sports (baseball, basketball, and football) and helping on the farm. After graduating from Montana State University, I moved to Helena and spent 22 years in the technology sector, creating innovative solutions and leading software teams. My career began at Stanford Research Institute (SRI), advancing artificial intelligence and continued at SoFi during its fintech build-out prior to IPO. I’ve transitioned from software and technology to a new passion: helping clients achieve their unique financial goals. One of my key focus areas is providing education and strategies to reduce total lifetime taxes; both leading up to and throughout retirement. Tax-efficient investing is often overlooked in our complex tax system, yet it’s essential for keeping more of your hard-earned money. Personally, I’m also deeply committed to leadership development as a graduate of Leadership Montana, a current member of Leadership Helena, and a regular attendee of the Global Leadership Conference’s annual Helena watch party. Whether you’re just starting to save for retirement, need to protect your family with insurance, or are preparing to retire and want a thorough analysis to ensure every detail is being addressed, I’m here to serve you with clarity, integrity, and personalized guidance.
