MARK WALSH, PRESIDENT & FOUNDER Through his firm, Mark operates two separate but related lines of business: Walsh Insurance & Financial Services Agency (WIFSA) and Walsh Financial Consulting (WFC).

WALSH FINANCIAL CONSULTING (WFC) --------------------------------------------------------- Walsh Financial Consulting (WFC) provides financial consulting services and is a State of California registered RIA. PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND ---------------------------------------------- Before starting WIFSA and WFC, Mark worked as a Financial Advisor for UBS Wealth Management in San Francisco and as an agent for New York Life in San Ramon. He earned his Masters' degree in Personal Financial Planning from Golden Gate University, where he serves as a part-time Senior Adjunct Professor. He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in corporate financial management, working capital management/treasury, and personal financial planning. He also has an MBA from California State University East Bay and a Bachelor's in Accounting & Finance from U.C. Berkeley. Before becoming a Financial Advisor, Mark worked as a financial consultant for Ernst & Young and Capgemini Ernst & Young. While there, he implemented world-class global financial information systems for leading multinationals and high-growth start-up companies. As a Corporate Controller, he helped build The Learning Company, a children’s educational software start-up, into a public company. As a financial controller, he helped several hi-tech multinational manufacturing companies expand their business globally. He started his career with Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG) in downtown Oakland where he audited many local government entities, which included: Oakland Unified School District (OUSD), City of Oakland, Chabot College, World Airways (Oakland airport), and others. He worked for Peat Marwick in its London office for a two-year international exchange program. Through his professional work and love of travel, Mark has traveled to over thirty countries.
