Matt Woodard

Matt Woodard began his career as Chief Operating Officer in 2013 with Cassidy & Company, LLC, where he currently serves as Vice President, Financial Advisor.

Matt was instrumental in building out of the firm’s back-office client and advisor support teams and standard operating procedures, all while specializing in case design for the firm’s life insurance planning opportunities. Today, Matt’s primary focus is leveraging the resources provided from Lion Street and its industry partners to continually support the firm’s vision, growth, and client value. Prior to joining Cassidy & Company, LLC, Matt was the Director of Marketing for Thomas Financial Group, who is a member of M Financial Group. Matt spent twelve years with Thomas Financial where he served as head of case design while supervising and training other case designers within his department. Matt’s primary function was to work with the producers in facilitating comprehensive and complex life insurance designs to satisfy the needs of the firm’s high net worth families and business clientele. While working with Thomas Financial Group, Matt earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation from the American College in 2007. In March 2023, Matt earned his Certified Financial Planner® designation. Matt is a graduate of the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL, where he graduated with a B.S.B.A. in Finance in 2000. He currently resides in Largo with his wife Arrow and their two sons.
