Mike C

Mike Cortes is a dedicated financial advisor with extensive experience in comprehensive wealth management and estate planning.

He earned his MBA from the University of Denver in 2020 and followed that with the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation in 2023 and the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designation in 2024, demonstrating his commitment to continuous professional development. He also served overseas in several combat zones as a naval flight officer. An accomplished endurance athlete, Mike is a six-time IronMan finisher and has completed two 24-hour ultra marathons. Since moving to Colorado, he has transitioned from triathlon and running to other sports, becoming passionate about CrossFit and skiing. As one of the fastest runners in his local CrossFit community, he continues to push his athletic boundaries while exploring new challenges on the slopes. Outside of athletics, Mike has developed a passion for gardening. Applying his love of chemistry and general science, he has successfully grown the Blue Rocky Mountain Columbine—a notoriously difficult flower to cultivate—helping it thrive in less-than-ideal conditions. Mike also enjoys teaching his daughter, Violet, how to grow the Columbine through science and experimentation, fostering their bond through shared discovery.
