I was born and raised in the former Soviet Union, today's Republic of Azerbaijan.
I personally witnessed the rocky transition from the communist economy to free market capitalism and subsequent economic growth as it offered more opportunities and freedom. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in economics and banking from Azerbaijan State Economic University, I was invited by the U.S. government to study for a Master of Economics at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. I then obtained an MBA at Columbia College in Columbia, MO. During my education, I became interested in financial markets, especially stocks. I learned that individual investors can build financial wealth over time by buying quality investments. After graduate school, I worked for a few years at the Missouri Department of Economic Development. Just prior to the 2008 recession, my family and I moved to Monticello, AR, where I opened a new Edward Jones office. To start from scratch was tough! In my first few months here in southeast Arkansas, I drove all the backroads and visited all our small towns, knocking on all the residential doors and businesses of the region. I met many wonderful people, who welcomed and trusted me with their hard-earned assets and life savings. I truly enjoy helping our clients reach their dreams! We work together to help them build a successful financial future for independent retirement living and pass their legacy to loved ones. My husband, John Kyle Day, Ph.D., is professor of history at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. We have two children, and we enjoy traveling and learning about the history and cultures around the world. I am honored to be recognized by Forbes: 2024-2026 Forbes|SHOOK® Top Women Wealth Advisors Best-in-State in Arkansas, published February each year, research by SHOOK® Research LLC, data as of September or June of the prior year. 2024-2026 Forbes|SHOOK® Best-in-State Wealth Advisors in Arkansas, published 1st trimester each year, research by SHOOK® Research LLC, data as of June of prior year.
