Ryan Griffin

My name is Ryan Griffin, and my story begins in the small town of Latham, New York, where I was born and raised.

In Upstate New York, the great outdoors were a playground for my three sisters and me growing up. The serene Mohawk River flowed right in our backyard, and countless hours were spent on and in the water growing up, as well as playing sports barefoot in the yard together. Those days not only filled my heart with joy, but also shaped the person I am today. Core values of faith, family, dedication, sacrifice, hard work, excellence, fun, and teamwork are the pillars of my existence. They guide my actions and decisions every single day. Sports became my life's early passion due to the competitiveness my sisters and I shared. High school saw me diving deep into both baseball and football, but it was football that truly captured my heart. My dedication paid off with a D1AA scholarship to the University of Albany, where I proudly played as an inside linebacker while completing my Business Finance degree. On July 3rd, 2015, I met my wife, Elena Griffin while we were both in college. A handful of years after college, I moved to Boston, MA to join my now wife in her hometown that she grew up in. We shortly thereafter were engaged, and we sealed our love with marriage on June 4th, 2023. Shortly after marriage, in striving to reconcile the qualities of the two areas we both grew up in, we decided to build our future in the charming city of Charleston, South Carolina. When I'm not immersed in my business, my time is spent with my family, church, and friends. You can often find me enjoying the outdoors, golf courses, and ocean, as well as learning, exercising, and keeping my competitive spirit alive through various sports. Life, for me, is a celebration of the big and small moments that shape our journey, and I am grateful for every step along the way. My exceptional aptitude for numbers guided my educational journey through and through, culminating in a Magna Cum Laude degree in Business Finance from UAlbany, as well as post-graduate studies in Financial Planning with The American College of Financial Services.
