Years back, my daughter and I were walking through the Smoky Mountains and we came across a wooden bridge.
Although weathered, it was stable and safe-but still scary to my little girl. I told her to hold my hand as we crossed the bridge, and she replied, "no daddy, you hold my hand." I asked her "what's the difference?" and she replied "well if I'm holding your hand and we start walking across that bridge, I might get scared and forget and let go of your hand. But if you're holding my hand, I know you'll never let go." When people ask what makes me different, I often reference the story with my daughter. To my clients, I serve as a guide that is going to work with them across the bridge to their financial future. Even when times get tough and scary, and even when they want to let go, I am here holding on. As a Financial Advisor I understand the importance of continuing education.
