Wesley Petteway

Wes Petteway is the founder of Wealth Journey Partners, a nationwide financial planning firm, specializing in servicing needs of corporate executives, physicians, business owners and high net worth families.

A native of Brooklyn, NY, Wes started in the industry 2000 and has been strategically partnered with Northwestern Mutual since 2014. Wes is an MDRT qualifier and has achieved Northwestern Mutual’s pathfinder award for integrated planning. He is a strong believer in education and continued learning. Besides having his Series 6, 63, 7, Life, Accident and Health licenses, He also holds the prestigious CFP designation, along with the AEP, WMCP, ChFC, RICP, CLU, ChSNC and Black Executive Leadership designations from the American College of Financial Services as well. Wes is very passionate about diversity, community, and philanthropy. He serves on the Northwestern Mutual African American Advisory Board, his network’s Strength and Belonging Society, and has created an employee resource group for black financial advisors. In his community, Wes served as a board member of the Middlesex County Workforce Development Board, volunteers with Youth Sports, Girls Scouts of America, 100 Black Men, Alex’s Lemonade Stand, the National Alopecia Association, and The Center for Economic Empowerment and Equality. Wes also enjoys spending time meeting with students, giving presentations, and teaching financial literacy at local universities such as Rutgers, Princeton, Middlesex County College and Kean. Wes is married to his lovely wife Melba. The two own a home in East Brunswick, NJ and are raising three daughters, Kyra, Maya and Mikayla.
